Canadian Kyle Legault has finally beaten the weather and most of the opposition in the past few days. The likeable Newport Wasps rider guested for Redcar Bears at one of his former tracks Sheffield last week and top scored with 12 points from five starts.
The following night saw him guest for Elite League side Lakeside at home against the Ipswich Witches in place of the injured Paul Hurry. He lined up at reserve and scored a superb seven paid nine points including an impressive victory over five-time British Champion and long time Grand Prix star Scott Nicholls as he helped the Hammers to a comfortable home win.
It was then back to Premier League action on Sunday for the Wasps at home against Sheffield and again Legault was in super form with a match winning Heat 15 victory over Sheffield's Ricky Ashworth who had been only been beaten once prior to the last race showdown. Kyle finished with a top score of ten points and was more than happy with his few days work. He added: "Things are working really well still for me, my bikes are working perfectly right now and I'm enjoying myself out on track. Im making starts now and that's an important part of the sport because it sure makes life a lot easier."
Legault is back in action this Wednesday night (September 1st) at another of his former tracks, Birmingham before the Wasps head for a local derby at Somerset on Friday. They finish a few days of activity with a home fixture against Glasgow the following night when they will be after more league points.
